Commissioning for Personalistaion

Commissioning of Social Work Services sits within the wider context of local authority commissioning, which needs to take place within the best value framework. Nevertheless it is clear that commissioning of social work services is a key component of being able to offer choice and develop solutions with users and carers participation.

The Service Development Change Programme Group has met with a wide range of parties who have a part to play in Commissioning for Personalisation. This includes the Local Government Improvement Service, SWIA, Care Commission, ADSW, the voluntary sector, and other parts of Scottish Government, including the Joint Improvement Team. Work is currently being done on a high level paper on Commissioning for Personalisation
