People With Learning Disablilities

The creation of national priorities for social work services is intended to reduce the plethora of competing priorities and allow a national focus on a more limited set of priorities for performance improvement.

The National Social Work Services Forum will initiate discussion on the purpose of priorities and how they might be established. That discussion will then result in formal consultation as part of the consultation on new legislation, enabling legislation to create a power for Ministers to set priorities as well as setting out the means by which they will be derived and updated.
